As far back as I can remember art has been a part of my life, but until recently it was never something that I considered pursuing on a more serious level. I've always enjoyed sketching, and my biggest attraction has always gravitated toward animals. To this day I still find myself studying the simplest of things (like tree bark!) with intensity, trying to visually capture the tone and texture as if it had a secret to reveal. I try to put that same intensity into my artwork, knowing that every subject, from family dog to African elephant has a story.
