As far back as I can remember art has been a part of my life, but until recently it was never something that I considered pursuing on a more serious level. I've always enjoyed sketching, and my biggest attraction has always gravitated toward animals. I was blessed to grow up out in the country surrounded by the usual assortment of farm animals but feel more fortunate that I was able to witness all aspects of nature at it's most basic levels, from ant hills to nesting birds, kittens to crops. To this day I still find myself studying the simplest of things (like tree bark!) with intensity, trying to visually capture the tone and texture as if it had a secret to reveal. I try to put that same intensity with my drawings, knowing that every subject, from family dog to African elephant has a story.  Thank you for stopping and I truly hope you will continue on this artistic journey with me......
